The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Has Started E-Visa Service

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has started the electronic visa service for the foreigners who want to enter Turkey.  The citizens of 94 different countries will be able to get the visa for Turkey easy and fast by using evisa.gov.tr website.

The visitors should have a passport valid for at least 6 months, flight ticket (or a travel vehicle) reservation, and a valid credit card (Visa or MasterCard) to process their application via the website.

E-visa service is not valid for visits except touristic or business purposed visits such as work permit or student visa. After finalizing the online visa application successfully e-visas are sent to applicant’s e-mail addresses. The applicants should print out the e-visa to present to the customs officials.

The stamp and seal for regular visa processes will continue for those who do not wish to use e-visa.  If the e-visa is not used between the dates that were required, the visa will be cancelled and the applicant should apply for a new one to enter Turkey.
